UNDERFLOOR HEATING FILM FAR INFRARED

Underfloor infrared heating film is a high-class product that's useful in almost every case. It works perfectly as surface heating under laminate, tiles or vinyl — on the floor, wall or ceiling. Thanks to manufacturing precision and functionality, the system is reliable and comfortable to use.

Even heat distribution, quick start-up and low operating costs make it an excellent choice for modern homes and commercial spaces.

TECHNOLOGY

Heating films work using electric resistance of carbon. Selected carbon with aluminium paste is deposited on PET foil using modern printing technology. The material provides excellent insulating and fire-resistant properties.

Copper busbars ensure safe current flow, while special LAMINEX foil and PET layers protect the structure against mechanical damage and sparking. The system is designed for longevity and stable performance.

Specification & Advantages

Key technical notes and real-world benefits of Termofol infrared heating film systems.

Technical specification

New carbon, infrared heating film is a product of the highest class which is best for under-floor heating. Size, flexibility and precision of manufacture make this heating element offer practically unlimited application possibilities.

  • Designed for use with every surface: metal, glass, wood, stone etc.
  • The panels do not work constantly – with the right thermostat the film switches on only when temperature drops below the set level.
  • Heating mat itself is built in new crystal carbon technology.
  • With proper control (our thermostats) and insulation, the system can use up to 60% less energy than many other electric heating solutions.
  • The panels can be connected directly to solar panels – maintenance free and potentially free to run.
  • Heating cost depends on the insulation of walls, windows and ceilings.
  • This high-performance system is very energy-efficient even if only ~70% floor area is covered; it provides a comfortable, cosy environment.
  • Heat produced by these panels eliminates moisture, bacteria and mould.
  • Installed on the wall it can heat the room and dry the walls, ensuring even temperature without sudden air movements – perfect for allergy sufferers.

In our offer you can find a wide choice of panels AC or DC. Lower power is perfect as an auxiliary/comfort heating (warm floor: 80 W/m², 140 W/m²), while 180 W/m² and 220 W/m² can be used as a primary heat source.

Our team can help choose the right film power, calculate the required area and answer all questions. We can also produce a heating element to your specification (widths, power, branding).

Product certifications: CE, MERITZ, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, RoHS compliance + PCT certificate. We guarantee the highest quality.

Nominal power:
80 / 140 / 180 / 220 W/m²
Supply voltage:
AC 230 V (also DC variants)
Widths:
25 / 50 / 100 cm
Cut lines:
Every 250 mm
Typical surface temp.:
~35–45 °C (floor finish dependent)

Advantages of usage

  • Space saving – no radiators on the walls.
  • No need to install a boiler, pipes or chimney.
  • Silent operation – no noises or gases.
  • Limitless possibilities for architects and interior design.
  • Low investment and low running cost.
  • Easy to remove and reinstall when needed.
  • Minimal heat losses – heat is generated at the place of usage.
  • Can be cut only at designated cut lines every 250 mm.
  • Available widths: 1.0 m, 0.5 m, 0.25 m.

Heating Film vs Heating Mat

Discover the difference between Termofol heating film and traditional heating mats.

Heating Film

The heating film warms up the entire surface evenly, not just in one spot. Thanks to its design, it can be installed under almost any surface and uses up to 50% less energy compared to heating mats.

The Heating Film vs The Heating Mat

Unlike classical cables or heating mats, the film distributes heat over the whole floor surface at lower energy consumption. This provides greater comfort, efficiency and flexibility for modern interiors.

Heating Film Infrared Heating Mat Infrared

Heating Mat

Heating mats concentrate heat along the cable lines at higher temperatures. This creates uneven heating zones and higher energy consumption compared to films.
