Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with companies that help us run the shop, and only the data they need for their task:

  • Payment providers: Stripe handles card payments and PayPal handles PayPal payments. However, they process your payment details under their own privacy policies. If you pay by bank transfer, we see the payer name and reference in our bank account.
  • Delivery: the courier companies we use receive your name, delivery address, phone number and email so they can deliver the goods and keep you informed.
  • Invoicing: an online invoicing service (Fakturownia) issues our invoices and receipts from your order details.
  • Hosting and email: our website, orders and mailbox run with a hosting and email provider based in the European Union.
  • Google: we use Google Tag Manager and analytics to measure website use (after you accept cookies), Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam, and an embedded Google Map to show our location (after you accept cookies). Read the Google privacy policy for details.
  • Advisers and authorities: our accountant, and public bodies such as Revenue where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies keep your basket, your session and the checkout working. If you accept them, analytics cookies from Google Tag Manager help us understand which pages are useful. Embedded maps and videos from Google and YouTube set cookies of their own, so we show them only after you accept cookies.

When you first visit the website, we ask for your choice. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block essential cookies, the basket and checkout may stop working. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the companies above, such as Google, PayPal and Stripe, can process data outside the European Economic Area. When this happens, they rely on safeguards that the GDPR accepts, for example an adequacy decision of the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How we protect your data

Firstly, the website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Also, only the people who need your data to do their job can access it. Payment details go straight to the payment provider, so we never store card numbers. We also keep our website software up to date.

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you,
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete,
  • ask us to delete your data, where we have no duty to keep it,
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data,
  • object to processing that rests on our legitimate interests,
  • receive your data in a common format, where the law allows,
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.

If you want to use any of these rights, email info@termofol.ie. We reply within one month and do not charge a fee. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that nobody else can get your data.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, www.dataprotection.ie. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
